The team of volunteers at OntarioSnowmobiler.ca has been selected from across the province and each member brings something a little different than the others. Please remember the team is volunteering their time and effort towards the project to help fulfill our mission of spreading information about riding in Ontario.
Producer / Host
Krusty is an avid snowmobiler of over 20 years and avid volunteer for more than 10. He is an IT professional working a 9 to 5 job in the city but has a passion for media such as video and radio. During the 2011-2012 snowmobile season, he recorded and produced a weekly news segment for his local snowmobile club. With the help of local volunteers, this dynamic YouTube series (BEAST TV) was produced with no funding from organized snowmobiling and became a hit with local riders.
“This project was so much fun but because of geography it was limited to my local area. I want to do something provincial, I want to be able to reach snowmobilers and I believe that radio will help reduce some of the complexities and will increase our range. Being able to include telephone callers means guests are much easier to reach and this possibility really excites me!”
Krusty has been instrumental in the development and we are excited to have him leading our team.
Paul is an avid snowmobiler and dedicated volunteer, is Vice President of his snowmobile club The Baxter Snow Riders in Port Severn, Ontario. He is an active Trail Patrol Member, Groomer operator, District 7 Volunteer Coordinator and sits on The OFSC VIA Committee. Paul can be found riding in District 7 most of the time, but also enjoys Northern Ontario and Quebec trail riding. Paul is a advocate for the Sport of Snowmobiling in Ontario, this is why he is involved with OntarioSnowmobiler.ca
Marni’s enthusiasm for sledding started at a young age and has never stopped. As far as organized snowmobiling goes, she has held many positions within her club and grooming association, and is currently the OFSC Governor and President of District 4.
Going on week long bag trips and exploring the natural beauty of Northern Ontario is as much second nature as riding the local trails near home or the cottage. Marni hopes to get out to many of the events this year and promote OntarioSnowmobiler.ca as a new style of media for Ontario snowmobilers.
Rick “Nutter” Sauer started snowmobiling 30+ years go and in 1999 became the Events Coordinator for The Port Perry Snowmobile Club, a position he still holds to this day.
As well as Grooming and doing trailwork for his club, Rick also sits on the OFSC Provincial Trails Committee. Snowmobiling is his passion, but in the off-season you can find him touring the same fantastic locations throughout the Province of Ontario on his motorcycle. Rick’s experience in Project Managment ensures that the OntarioSnowmobiler.ca projects are inline and on time.
